Fonctions exponentielles de base $a$
- Définition et notation : pour $a>0$, $a^x=e^{x\ln a}$;
- Domaine de définition : $\mathbb R$;
- Propriétés opératoires : $$\forall x,y\in\mathbb R,\ \forall n\in\mathbb Z,\ a^{x+y}=a^xa^y,\ a^{x-y}=\frac{a^x}{a^y},\ a^{nx}=(a^x)^n.$$
- Dérivée : $\ln(a)a^x$;
- Sens de variation : croissante si $a>1$, décroissante si $a<1$, constante si $a=1$.
- Limites aux bornes : $$\textrm{si }a>1,\ \lim_{x\to-\infty}a^x=0, \lim_{x\to+\infty}a^x=+\infty;$$ $$\textrm{si }a<1,\ \lim_{x\to-\infty}a^x=+\infty, \lim_{x\to+\infty}a^x=0.$$
